Based in Cincinnati Ohio, the Cincinnati Bengals is a professional football team that competes in the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The team was formed in 1968 by Paul Brown and was given the name "Bengals" as, at the time, Cincinnati‘s zoo had a rare white Bengal tiger which the management felt would symbolize the team&lsquo s aggression and will to win. Over the years, the team has been a major contributor to the game by introducing new tactics like the No-Huddle Offense and the West Coast Offense which are commonly used by most teams. The team reached the Super Bowl twice, only to be beaten on both occasions by the 49ers.The team colors are Black, orange, white, while Who Dey the Bengal Tiger is the team mascot. The team has notable celebrity fans like George Clooney, Nick Lachey, Carmen Electra and Bootsy Collins who also does the team songs. |
