Based in San Diego California the San Diego Chargers is a professional football team that competes in the Western Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL).Established in 1960,they played in the AFL before merging with the NFL.They initially played a season from Los Angeles but moved to Oakland soon after.Their record includes the 1963 AFL title,5 AFL playoffs,4 AFL Championships and reaching the Super Bowl XXIX when they lost to the 49ers.The team colors are Navy blue, gold, powder blue, white while The Bolt Head the is team’s unofficial mascot. The Chargers were the originators of the term "Fearsome Foursome" to describe their all-star defensive line.

Home of the San Diego ChargersThe Qualcomm Stadium is the home of the San Diego Chargers and is located northwest of the interchange of Interstate 8 and Interstate 15 in San Diego.It was previously called the San Diego Stadium and Jack Murphy Stadium.Currently it is also called The Q" or the "The Murph". The stadium has hosted three Super Bowl games: Super Bowl XXII in 1988, Super Bowl XXXII in 1998, and Super Bowl XXXVIIin 2003.Apart from football the stadium also hosts soccer and baseball games.In 1998,it became the only stadium to host both Super Bowl and World Series in the same year.Opened in 1967 the stadium has a playing surfaceVenue Seating San Diego Chargers Stadium of grass and can seat 72000 people for football matches.
