The 2015 Rugby World Cup is scheduled to be the eighth Rugby World Cup and will be hosted by England starting 18th September and continuing through 31st October 2015. England has been hosting this tournament since 2009 after beating the bids from Italy, Japan and South Africa.

12 of the stadiums are located in England and the 13th, Millenium Stadium is in Wales, chosen due to its capacity and location despite being outside of England. A total of 20 teams will play in the final tournament. The 20 teams will be divided into 4 pools of 5 teams in the first round. Each pool will consist of 10 games, where each team will play one match against each of the other teams in the other pool. Teams will be awarded four points for a win and two points for a draw. The teams finishing in the top two of each pool will go to the quarter-finals. The top three teams of each pool will receive automatic qualification to the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
