About the 2010 Vancouver Speed Skating Competition:
The Olypic Speed skating competition is a timed racing event where competitors or teams of competitors race in pairs around an oval track in a race against the clock. The winner is the team or skater who posts the fastest time after all competitors have clocked in. At the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games there are 12 speed skating events on the 2008 Olympic program, six for men and six for women.
The Speed Skating competition will take place at the Richmond Olympic Oval, located less than nine miles south of downtown Vancouver, will host all speed skating events. Construction on the venue began in September 2005 and the Oval, which holds 8,000 spectators, opened in December 2008.
Testimonials from clients who purchased Summer Olympic Tickets in Beijng China:
Hey Bob - thanks for helping make this happen. No problem picking up the tickets, everything was fine - and we saw Bolt beat the 200m WR. Great!
Thanks so much for assisting me again with our Olympic tickets. You have been top rate.
History of the Olympics
The first official Olympic Winter Games was appropriately held in Athens Greece
in 1896, as was the last event in 2004. The inaugural games featured 241 participants
from 14 nations, while the most recent contest involved 11,100 competitors
from 202 countries. The original games can be traced back to Olympia, Greece
in 8th century B.C. The most popular legend is that Heracles, son of Zeus
and Alcmene, created the Olympic games and built the Olympic stadium and surrounding
buildings as a tribute to his father. Since a medal count has been recorded,
the United States garnered the most gold medals with 35, followed by China
with 32 and Russia with 27. Beijing was elected host city of the 2010 Winter
games on July 13, 2001. The city that will carry the torch to host the 2014
games has yet to be determined.
