Got Extra Tickets?

Stuck with a few extra tickets? When it comes to selling your extra tickets you have a few options.  Let’s review the different options.

Option 1. Consignment of Tickets

When you consign your tickets you are not guaranteed you will get paid, but often this is the best approach if you want to sell your tickets at the going “Market Price”.  Fees charged by brokers range from about 10% to 15% to sell your tickets.  But all sellers are not equal.  The most popular consignee is StubHub.com.  The only problem with StubHub is they don’t watch your tickets for you.  For this reason, you might want to consider taking your tickets to a smaller ticket broker who can watch your tickets to make sure they remain “in the market”.  Otherwise, your tickets might languish with little to no chance of getting sold.  eSeats.com has a consignment program that works very well. The advantage here is we have agents who will watch your tickets and position your tickets to sell.

 Option 2.  Sell For Cash

This is the best possible scenario for you but expect to  be a bit dissapointed.  Most brokers will only offer you a buy out for your tickets at a price that they will be able to make money on your tickets. Let’s not forget ticket brokers will not assume your risk, unless there is a good upside.. hence profit potential.

Option 3.  TicketExchange

Ticket Exchange is a service provided by ticketmaster that is offered to season ticket holders through the various professional teams’ websites.  This is a good option which should not be overlooked.

Happy Selling!
