Do Kids Need Tickets?

Published on: Sep 09 2015 by Leslie Lempka

Most people love to introduce their children to a variety of events, not only expand their minds, but also to make memories with their children.  The question regarding whether or not children need tickets to specific events is one we get all the time.  The answer however depends on the event and venue. Most sports events like baseball, football, and hockey allow children under the age of 2 to be admitted with an adult, as they can be seated on the parents lap.  Children over 2 are required to have their own ticket.

This general rule can change however with events that are specifically designed for children.  Shows like Disney on Ice: Frozen, and Disney Live: Three Classic Fairy Tales allow children under the age of 2 to be admitted without a ticket, however the show recommends that you verify with the venue that children under the age of 2 can be admitted without a ticket.   There are other shows, like Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus that may require children of all ages to have a ticket for entry.
